Doctors, the saviours of life even if they are giving you a simple dosage for cough, they are saving your life. How? think of it yourself as there are a lot of reasons to say this. Ok now do you know what a doctor go through when an operation fails due to a mistake of a family member? OfCorse not intentionally but still. How hard it is for a doctor to disclose the death of a person to his loved ones. MBBS one of the hardest degree and a lot of other degrees in the field of medical take more than 15 years of a persons life, and even then one failed operation can destroy everything. Reason? We consider doctors as Gods and when they failed they become devils for us. But they are just humans and they have nothing in there hands, we should accept it whether the operation goes successful or not.

The biggest thing that fucks with doctor’s life is our lovely Bollywood. Recall a movie based on a doctor’s life a successful doctor never failed. 100% successful operation rate but this is not true. At least not 100% they all are humans too and humans can’t be 100% perfect inany field. Well that’s what’s our problem we apply things from movies to our life. Forgetting that, that is Reel life and this is Real life. In a poll conducted between 1820 doctors 60.4% said there priority as a patient over their own family. There are some doctors having money as priority but yet no one is that bad to kill a patient intentionally, some exceptions also exist but we should not blame a doctor. They always do their best to save someone’s life.

Dear people is a book full of weird, funny, unique, happy and some sad stories of different doctors, 34 different chapters, 34 different doctors and 34 different and new stories. It’s a book written by 34 doctors telling their own stories of the things they experienced as a Doctor and as patient also some times. They in this book told us about the way they handled different cases. One of thhe story tell us How a doctor deal with the situation when one of the family member make the patient drink milk 1 hour before the operation. How on a death of a famous athlete his fans burned the hospital saying he is murdered by Doctors. There were also cases of patient dealing with an imaginary disease and 31 more cases like this.

Talking about my personal experience with the book, as the chapters were not connected to each other so I read it one chapter one day every chapter had something new in it. Something new to learn, something new to know about the life of the doctor. The reading speed of this book depends upon your interest in the life of doctors, and ya it is really helpful for the upcoming doctors or even the one who already are doctors as it consists of the stories of totally unique situations.

A must read for medical students and doctors.
